Mireille creates photographic worlds built from shapes, colours and materials that often go unnoticed. Each work begins with a small impulse – a thought, a feeling, a title – and from there she lets intuition guide the image. Her photographs invite stillness. They ask you to look twice, to slow down, to notice what usually remains invisible.
To her, beauty lives in the everyday. In the quiet in-between moments where light, colour and form fall into place without asking for attention.
Alongside her art practice, she works as a branding creative. Daily surrounded by image and meaning, Lois in Space is the place where she can shift, play and explore freely — without function, only intention.
Mireille Duiven is a Dutch visual artist based in Deventer, The Netherlands and Perugia, Italy. Her work is collected both locally and internationally.
